Day 28 Zig Pens "WISHING YOU TONS OF FUN" card using MFT Adorable Elephants stamps & dies

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 28 coloring project

Since I had two elephants already colored up from yesterday, I thought I'd color up four more balloons. I had plans on making two cards tonight, but it's been a long day so I just put one toghether.

I used a piece of the fun plaid paper from the MFT Plaid Patterns paper pad, some MFT Blue Raspberry card stock that I die cut using a MFT Circle Stax, along with a black layer. I embossed the blue circle with a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder.    I have never used sequins on cards before, but had a pack of Lawn Fawn sequins I hadn't even opened and I've had them for quite a while so I added three to the card.

I put it all together and now it's ready to go in the box to send to someone special!

SUPPLIES;

card stock:  black, Bristol Smooth white card stock, MFT Plaid Patterns paper pad
stamps:  MFT Adorable Elephants
ink: Versafine Black, Asst Zig Pens
accessories: Scor-Pal, MFT Adorable Elephants dies, MFT Circle Stax dies, Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder, Lawn Fawn Sequins and Foam Tape

Day 27 Zig Pens VLVFEB2016 "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" card using MFT Adorable Elephants stamps/dies

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 27 coloring project

This adorable elephant is from the MFT Adorable Elephants stamp set. I recently purchased it and the coordinating dies from a lady in a FB group I am in.     I colored up three different elephants, but for the sketch I used only this one. I might make two more cards just like this one using the other two elephants.   I colored the elephants with some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.   I cut a little slit to fit the balloon strings in.

I used the Viva La Verve February Sketch 1 for my card:  VLVFEB2016
SUPPLIES:

card stock:  black. Bristol Smooth Card stock. MFT Blue Raspberry. PTI Lemon Tart
pattern paper: MFT Plaid Patterns
stamps: MFT Adorable Elephants

Day 25 Zig Pens ~ MFTWSC269 "SENDING WELL WISHES" card using MFT stamps & dies

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 25 coloring project

I needed a "get well" card to send out today to someone who is having surgery today.   I knew I wanted to use an MFT Pure Innocence image for my card and after seeing this week's sketch (below) I got after it.

I colored the image up with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.   I am not sure why the bear and her shirt look like the same colors in the image because in real life the bear is definitely darker. I received an Amazon order yesterday that had a Bristol Smooth Card stock pad in it.  I read that a fellow stamper really liked it with the Zigs so I thought I'd give it a try ~ she was absolutely right!   thanks Nichol.

I used this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #269: MFTWSC269

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  brown, Bristol smooth card stock
pattern paper:  unknown
stamps: MFT Pure Innocence Better Get Better
ink: Versafine Black, Asst. Zig Pens
accessories:  Scor-Pal, MFT Blueprints 5, Banner Flag Stax, Rectangle Stax, Sentiment Strips. Enamel Hearts and Foam Tape

TDLLC February Card Challenge: MFT "YOU MAKE EVERY DAY A HAPPY ONE" and "YOU'RE A STAR" cards

On the TupeloDesignsLLC Facebook page they are having a monthly challenge. February's challenge is using My Favorite Things products.

On this first card I used two MFT stamp sets:  Bold Greetings and Distress Patterns.   I chose some random colors to stamp onto a white layer, then I layered it onto some orange MFT card stock and then onto a black card base.

On this card I used two MFT stamp sets:  Distress Patterns and Bold Statements.   I stamped the distressed stripes in Red, Blue and Gray onto a white piece of card stock. I then layered it onto some navy blue Bazzill card stock and then onto a red card base using some MFT card stock.   The sentiment was stamped and layered, then I die-cut three MFT stars and randomly put them on the card.

Day 22 Zig Pens "YOU COLOR MY WORLD" using Lawn Fawn stamps & dies *w/measurements

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 22 coloring project

I shared a card I made yesterday >>{HERE}<< and I shared it in a FB group I am in. I was asked by one of the members how I made the card.  I said that I would make another one and shared the details.   The card is pretty easy ~ the most time is spent coloring and die-cutting the crayons. If you have the stamp set, but not the die ~ these are super easy to cut out.

First I stamped six crayons onto Watercolor paper. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color the crayons ~ you could use whatever color medium you have. If you are using Copics you would probably want to stamp them onto regular card stock instead of watercolor paper.

After coloring the images up using my Zig Pens, I then die-cut them all out.

After die-cutting I lined up the crayons onto the white card stock I had cut out. I thought I took a picture but I guess I didn't.  I lined up the crayons where half the crayon is off the side of the card stock. I left a little space of card stock showing to the left and right of the crayons. I then took a Pen and scribbled the color on.     I then cut a strip of foam tape about the length of the crayon, cut it up the middle and then snipped a little off to angle the top of the foam tape and adhered it to the back of the crayon.

After putting the foam on the crayons I lined them up again onto the card stock as shown below.

I then put the piece with the crayons centered and about 1/4" down from the top of the pattern paper, then put the sentiment piece up under the crayons and across the card.  That's it.  Hope that all made sense.

MEASUREMENTS:

card base:  4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"  *you can also cut the base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4"

black layer:  4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
pattern layer: 4" x 5 1/4"

Crayon piece:

white layer:  2 3/4" x 4 1/8"
black layer:  2 7/8" x 4 1/4"

sentiment piece:

white layer:  7/8" x 5 1/4"
black layer:  1" x 5 3/8"

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  black, white, watercolor paper
pattern paper:  Lawn Fawn Let's Polka paper pad
stamps:  Lawn Fawn Color My World

Day 21 Zig Pens "YOU COLOR MY WORLD" card using Lawn Fawn stamps & Dies

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 21 coloring project

Lawn Fawn has the most fun images to color up.   I stamped and colored all the crayons. I cut the sentiment apart to make it fit across my card instead of masking/taping it off. After the crayons were mounted on foam tape and adhered I stamped the smiley faces on each one ~ so much fun to make this card.

SUPPLIES;

card stock:  white, black. Watercolor paper
stamps: Lawn Fawn Color My World
ink: Versafine Black, Asst. Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
pattern paper: from a SSS card kit
accessories; Scor-Pal, Lawn Fawn Color My World Die and Foam Tape

Day 19 Copic Coloring "WISHING YOU SUNSHINE" card using Paper Smooches stamps

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 19 coloring project

I recently bought some Paper Smooches stamps from a lady on SCS and these adorable images are from one of the sets that's called Eco Friendly.   I stamped the sun and the clouds.  I used Memento black ink and had a little issue with the ink bleeding into the clouds, so I tossed them and used some Lawn Fawn die cut clouds.   The ink bled on the sun as well, but it went out instead of into the image.

I used an OWH sketch #49:

No coloring today. Crocheting a scarf ~ worked on that today.

No coloring today. I went to the doctor this morning and he thinks I pulled a muscle in my back. I went home with patches and Motrin. So I have been wearing the patches and taking the Motrin since this morning and haven't felt it. If it comes back I told him I'd see him again.

I worked on a scarf I am crocheting, watched some NASAR, Michigan State Basketball game (got to see my daughter on TV numerous times), and took it easy.

Day 16 continued. "YOU'RE TEE-RIFIC" Golf card using Paper Smooches stamps

I received the stamp set that these fun stamps are from in the mail yesterday. I purchased several sets from a lady on SCS. I could hardly wait to stamp the Golf stamps  ~ yeah!  some Golf stamps!!!

Last night I inked up some watercolor paper using some Distress Inks, then die-cut the circle shapes.  I stamped the images onto watercolor paper and colored up quickly using some Zig Pens.

Today I cut the plaid pattern paper and layered it onto some light green card stock, embossed a strip of watercolor paper with a dot embossing folder and used the backside that looks kinda like dimples on a golf ball.  Layered everything up, added foam tape and waallaa.. it's all done.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  black, Papertrey ink light green
pattern pape: MFT Plaid Patterns 6 x 6 paper pack
stamps:  Paper Smooches My Guy
ink:  Versafine Black, Distress Inks

Day 16. Distress Ink and Zig Clean Color Markers on Paper Smooches stamps

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 16 coloring project

I received a package today of some stamps I bought from someone on SCS.  I was so excited to get them and get to coloring up some of the images.  I knew just wanted I wanted to do with one of the sets, but something else occupied most of my evening.

My son's iPhone has been making noises when he calls me. I have been telling him that I hear noises when he calls and thought it was on my end because my phone in the past has had issues. Tonight he tells me that others hear the noises as well.  So starts the 2 1/2 hours or so on the phone with AT&T trying this that and another thing, and then getting the phone all backed up to do a factory reset.  Before we did that the guy had us reset the settings,  make some calls and waalaa ~ the sounds are gone.  If I had a dime for every minute I have spent on the phone with Apple and AT&T when my kids iPhones have had issues..  I'd be Rich!!!!

anyways..  I didn't get to finish a card, but did ink up some pieces that I die cut into circles and then cut out the images and adhered them to the circles. Tomorrow I will try and get them onto a card, but have a laundry list of things to get done tomorrow and am dealing with sharp pains and then tightness under my right shoulder blade.  I don't have time for pain these days so I'm hoping it goes away.

Set of 3 Tent Cards "LAND OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE" using Gina Marie Quilt Block Die & Verve stamps

I have been having so much fun using my Gina Marie Stitched Quilt Blocks dies. I have wanted to make some with a Patriotic theme since I got them and tonight was the night to make some.

I used the Flower Burst Quilt Block Die on these three cards.  I used papers from a Colorbok Old Glory paper pad I bought at Walmart last week and the card stock is from Bazzill.    The stamp set is from Verve called American Hero.      I had a blast putting these together.

To make the tent cards.  I cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored it at 2 3/4". I used my Scor-Buddy to help me line up the die on the folded card piece so that the top of the die to the bottom of the card measured 4 1/4" so it fits into a regular envelope.  It was easy to line up the die. I lined up the center point at the 2 3/4" mark and attached it to my card base.  Super easy!

Day 15 Copic Coloring "YOU BRIGHTEN MY LIFE" card using Lawn Fawn Stamps/Dies & Gina Marie Quilt Block

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 15 coloring project

This morning I pulled out a pack of paper that I wanted to use on a card today.  It's a 12 x 12 paper pack from Carta Bella that is called "Ahoy There".  When I looked through all the fun papers I thought I would use another of my Gina Marie Stitched Quilt Block Dies to cut out some pieces.  I then picked a stamp set and this is going way out there using this stamp set on the card with a quilt block.  haha.  I hope that whoever I send it to enjoys it.  I love the quilt block dies, they are so much fun to cut and then put together using different card stocks and pattern papers.

Day 13 Copic Coloring "YETI IT'S COLD OUTSIDE" card using Lawn Fawn Yeti Set Go stamps & dies

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 13 coloring project

Earlier today ..  like over 12 hours ago, I thought I would get to coloring on something early so that by the time the NASCAR Sprint Unlimited race came on I would be all done. That didn't happen.  I got busy crocheting on a scarf for my daughter's dorm mate at college and worked on that all through the race. After the race my son called and we talked for over an hour and this baby didn't get started on until long after 10 pm.   I reached in my stash and grabbed this adorable Lawn Fawn set and got to coloring.   I used papers from a Recollections paper pad that was out this past Christmas.

I used an OWH sketch.  I used one piece of pattern paper for the back layer instead of breaking it up into two.

SUPPLIES:

card stock: white, black
pattern paper: Recollections Winter Frost paper pad
stamps: Lawn Fawn Yeti, Set, Go
ink: Memento Black, asst. Copic Markers

Day 12 Copic Coloring "HAVE A SWEET BIRTHDAY" card using Lawn Fawn Baked With Love Stamps & Dies

I am taking part of the ‪#‎thedailymarker30day‬ and this is my Day 12 coloring project

Oh what fun it is to color up some Lawn Fawn stamps!!    I sure do have fun coloring up all the Lawn Fawn stamps that I have.   I have a couple more on order from their upcoming release and I can hardly wait to get them in my hands.

I put all the layers together and then decided which stamps to use. I had already picked out the set Baked With Love, but hadn't decided which ones in the set to use.  I knew for sure I was coloring the stand mixer.  I have had my Kitchenaid Stand Mixer since 1998 and I call it "Old Faithful"..  it works as good today as it did the first time I took it out of the box.  In fact in 1998 I bought not only my Stand Mixer, but a Food Processor and a Hand Mixer. I still have the Stand and Hand Mixer. I gifted the Food Processor to a fellow Army family when we were leaving Ft. Bragg.

Tomorrow I think I am going to do some clean up in my stamping area ~ it's a HOT MESS!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!   ~ I will be watching some NASCAR!!!!
