PPA277 "YOU MAKE MY HEART MELT" card

These fun stamps are from a Paper Smooches stamp set that I purchased while in TN.  The fun images and oh so cute font is what made me grab it first out of a bag of a whole bunch of new goodies.  I used this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch #277 for my card.   I turned it so that my sentiment would fit on it better.

I used some more papers from a Carta Bella paper pad. I paper pieced the snowman's body, heart and nose. The trees were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.    Afterwards, I was wishing I had colored them in in shades of the blues that are on the snowflake papers.

Here is this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch #277. What a fun sketch.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  white, Bazzill Red, SU Midnight Muse, Carta Bella Bundled Up, watercolor paper (for trees)
stamps:  Paper Smooches Warm Hearts
ink: Versafine Black, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Memento Black, Orange Copic (for nose)
accessories:  Scor-Pal, MFT Tag Stax Dies (Regular and Pierced), MFT Rectangle Stax (Regular and Pierced), and Foam Tape

MOJO425 & SIP24 Color Challenge "MAY THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS WARM YOUR HEART" card

I received a stamp set in the mail today and I literally took it out of the package, put the stamps onto some blocks, inked them up and got busy coloring. The images are ohhhhh so cute!   They are from an Art Impressions stamp set. There isn't a name on the packaging, just a number: SCO716

I used this week's MOJO Monday Sketch #425:

I was using a Color Challenge from the Stamp Ink Paper site. I am limited in the colors I have with me (the rest are in storage) and so I went with what I had.

Here is the Color Challenge I used for my card.

PPA276 A Sketch Challenge: "SEASON'S TWEETINGS" card

I have had this card in my head for a few days now, I just hadn't got around to putting actions to the thoughts.  Tonight I figured I'd better get it done.   I used a stamp set that I bought a long time ago and had never used it.

Aren't these Lawn Fawn birdies soooo cute!!  The woodgrain card stock and the birds are on foam tape.  I was going to put some Wink of Stella on the scarf, hat and ear muffs, but it's packed up in one of the card kits that I'm taking to TN.

Here's the Pals Paper Arts  Sketch Challenge I used:  PPA276

SUPPLIES:

Bringing up to top.. one of my favorites "CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS" Santa card *w/measurements

I posted this card back in December 2011.  I have
been asked several times what the measurements are for the layers
on this card.. however I had gifted the card to a fellow stamper and didn't have it
anymore.. this past weekend I sat down and remade the card based off the picture of it
on my blog.. it took me two attempts.. the first one the red embossed layer wasn't long enough.

Below is my scribbled notes on the paper that I wrote as I worked on the card.

Measurements are:

Kraft card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half

strip with Christmas Blessings sentiment stamped on it and layers:
white: 2" x 4 1/4"
black: 2 1/8" x 4 1/4"
red...  this layer is punched with a scallop on the bottom.. after punching I measured it to be 2 3/8" x 4 1/4"

red embossed panel and layers are:

red embossed pieced: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
white: 2 3/8" x 3 7/8"
black: 2 1/2" x 4"

Santa layer:
Stamp is from Delta and is called Santa Collage. I found mine at Michael's but I have seen it at Hobby Lobby as well.
Santa:  2 1/8" x 3 1/8"  I cut then stamp
red: 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
black: 2 3/8" x 3 3/8"

I hope I got them all right.. as I wrote them down.

I put everything in an image that you should be able to print out.. I've never done this before, so I hope it works right.

SUPPLIES:
card stock: kraft, white, black, red
stamps:  Delta Rubber Stampede Santa Collage (Hobby Lobby carries this at the moment both online and in their stores), Christmas Blessings sentiment from a Hero Arts Greatest Gift stamp set
ink: Ranger Archival Sepia and Versafine Black

Embossed Trees "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" cards for kits

I decided to make card kits for these cards for my mom and I to assemble.  I cut all the layers and die-cut the flags.  I packed the stamps, inks, embossing folder and foam tape.  These are really easy to make and so much fun.    The We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Goosebumpz folder I used is big enough you can use it either way.    I can't wait to show my mom how to make these.

"HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS" cards for kits *w/measurements

I was a busy stamper yesterday. I put together a bunch of "card kits" for my mom and I to assemble.  I made 10 kits for each of these cards.   The one on the left was done in red, but the rest I did with green layers because the papers looked better with green than the red.  I used a bunch of paper that was in a SSS card kit that I bought from someone.

These are super duper easy!!!   These are great to make with some pattern paper from a 6 x 6 paper pad, because the pattern paper is cut at 3" x 3", so you'll get 4 cards from each sheet.

LEFT card:

card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" or 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
red/green layer:   4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
white layer:    4" x 5 1/4"

pattern paper:  3" x 3"
red/green layer:  3 1/8" x 3 1/8"

RIGHT card:

card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" or 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
red layer:   4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
white layer:    4" x 5 1/4"

pattern paper:  3" x 3"
red/green layer:  3 1/8" x 3 1/8"

sentiment layer ~ this will be sized for your sentiment

white layer:  1 78" x 3"
red layer:   2" x 3 1/8"

flag banner was cut at 1" wide, trimmed ends and cut to 1" long

Sentiment is from a StampsOfLife stamp set.

SSSC296 "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" card

I had a card in mind when I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Sketch #296, but it ended up going a different route.   I don't have with me any yellow paper that is bright like the pattern paper, so I went with what I had.  I didn't realize until I was attaching the flag in the upper right corner, that it too had circles on it.   I had been cutting and putting together card kits for my mom and I to assemble, and in the middle of all that I made this card.   I'll stick it in my birthday card stash.

PCCC171 "YOUR KINDNESS IS TRULY APPRECIATED" card

ahhhhh.. I'm on a card making roll today.  In a FB group I am in, I saw a post about a Challenge on the Paper Craft Crew Challenge site.. off I went to check it out because I love a card challenge.  The theme for this challenge is "Give Thanks!"   Since I had my Hero Arts Truly Appreciated stamp set out on my desk, I decided to use a sentiment from it on my card.   I used some papers from my Carta Bella Bundled Up paper pad.

Here is the PCCC171 Challenge:

pattern paper: Carta Bella Bundled Up

November SFYTT "SENDING YOU LOTS OF HUGS" card

I finally cut into a Doodlebug paper pad that I bought several weeks ago.  I just love all the Red, White and Blue papers that are in it.   I went to make this a Thank You card.. however I found out rather quickly that I evidently shipped one of my favorite Paper Smooches stamp sets and wasn't going to be able to use it.  The sentiment I used is from a Hero Arts set that is also one of my favorites, I love the big sentiments in it.

I used a Reverse Confetti sketch.   It's their November SFYTT sketch.  I don't own any Reverse Confetti stamps, so I couldn't enter my card on their site.   I think I might need to check their stamps out and see if any need to make my home their new home.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  Papertrey Ink Hawaiian Shores, Bazzill Red, and White
pattern paper:  Doodlebug Patriotic Parade
stamps:  Hero Arts Truly Appreciated
ink; Versafine black
accessories:  Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, Fun Foam, Enamel Dots from TheEyeletOutlet.com, Cuttlebug Heart embossing Folder, SSS Heart die.

MOJO424 "SENDING BIG HOLIDAY WISHES" card

About two years ago I decided to cut down nearly every single 12 x 12 sheet of pattern paper that I owned, into 6 x 6 pieces.  I bought a bunch of plastic storage bins that the 6 x 6 fit it.  I filled either 3 or 4 of the bins. I shipped all but one to our next duty station.  This bin doesn't happen to have the pieces of papers that said who the paper was made by, so I have no clue who the paper is from.

I like the Mojo Monday Sketch #424 so much that I decided to make another card using the sketch.

SUPPLIES:
card stock:  white, brown
pattern paper:  unknown
stamps:  Simon Says Stamps Holiday Stamp set
ink: SU Early Espresso
accessories:  Scor-Pal, Paper Piercer, Large Red Brads and Fun Foam

SIP Challenge #23 "I BELIEVE IN SANTA" card using Fancy Pants Designs papers

I found a new to me Sketch Challenge site ~ Stamp Ink Paper.    I pulled out the Fancy Pants Designs Wish Season paper pack that was sent to me last week and got to making a card.    I used my Santa Claus stamp that I bought at Hobby Lobby along with punch outs from the paper pack.  I am not fond of, actually do not like at all, the color pink.. but this is a pretty shade, so I thought I'd use it. I almost stamped the Santa in pink, but that thought lasted for a split second and I stamped him in a SU Gray ink.

here is the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #23 Sketch that I used:

SUPPLIES:

card stock: Bazzill Gray, White
pattern paper: Fancy Pants Designs paper pack Wish Season
stamps:  Delta Rubber Stampede Holiday Santa Collage
ink: SU Gray
accessories:  Scor-Pal, Fun Foam and Foam Tape

SSSC295 "HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS" cards

About a month ago I purchased a big group of StampsOfLife stamps from a lady on SCS.  I pulled out a Christmas set that has this sentiment in it.  After cutting everything and then stamping the sentiment, I didn't realize it was so big and I probably should've used something smaller, but I liked it so I went with it.

2 more funny lady REINDEER GAMES & UGLY SWEATER DRESS cards

I stamped two more of this hilarious lady stamp.  I colored up the solid red dress first and then thought I'd make an "Ugly Sweater Dress" one.  The papers are from a Simon Says Stamp kit that are not my favorites, so on the lady it went.  After coloring and paper piercing, I went to put some Wink of Stella on the Bells.. and my Wink of Stella pen threw up on the dress..  ahhhhhhh!!!  so I then had to put it all over the dress as well.  goodness sakes.. I was laughing while the whole mess was going on and my son wanted to know what I was doing.. I told him I was making a "hot mess!"
