SSSC208 "I {heart} MY MOM" card

Happy Friday All!!!      Since I used my "I {heart} my DAD" stamp on my last card.. I figured I'd use my Mom stamp on this one.   I used this week's SSSC208 sketch for my card.  I am a bit behind this week on any card making as I have been stressing on trying to renew my driver's license in another state using a Military exception and it's not been easy..  I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and get a license in the state I am in and I am so not happy about doing that.   Hopefully things will work out this upcoming week..  because Thursday is my birthday and my license is due to expire that day!!!

Here is this week's sketch that I used:   SSSC208

MFTWSC164 "Love The Here and Now" card

It's been a super busy week here and I haven't had a chance to make any cards..  I don't want to miss any of the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenges.. so I hurried and made this card this afternoon.  We have a basketball game to attend here shortly, so I am typing as fast as my fingers can.

I used this week's MFTWSC164 layout for my card.. I turned the sketch sideways:

MFTWSC163 "Wishing You The Happiest Of Birthdays" card

After being home bound with the kids and hubby.. since Tuesday, because of the snow and ice.. today we left the house and ventured out.    My husband had a doctor's appointment this morning and after that he took me to Tuesday Morning.  I had mentioned a couple of days ago that they had 13 cup KitchenAid Food Processors on sale for $99.   We bought our 11 cup back in 1998 and even though it works great..  it was time for an upgrade.

Anyways..  we went to the one here in town and they had none... however they did have some packs of paper for .99 and $1.99 and goodness knows I LOVE PAPER!!!!   I couldn't pass up packs of Gold and Silver Velum for $1.99 each now could I??   no I couldn't!! haha   I got the paper that is on the background of this card..  the light blue is the reverse of it.

We ended up going all the way out to Aberdeen to the Tuesday Morning out there (after I called) and they had two of the Food Processors left.  We got one and then I looked through the craft goodies there but didn't see anything that said "take me home!"

I enjoyed this sketch so much making the card last night that I decided to use it again.

MFTWSC163 "Happy Birthday" card

Tonight I finally got a chance to make a card using this week's MFTWSC163 sketch.  My stamp room is in what they call a Carolina Room..  a room that if there is something like it in the house we buy when we retire.. I will have torn off of the place.  The room is an ice box in the winter.   I put my Dyson heater fan in there for a couple of hours and it toned down the cold a bit for me to go in and make something.

I used this sketch below.  MFTWSC163

ink: Versafine Black

MFTWSC162 & Color Challenge "YOU MAKE MY HEART SKIP A BEAT"

Last month I skipped doing MFT's Color Palette Challenge.. but this month I thought I'd give it a whirl and this is the card I made.  I also used this week's MFTWSC162 sketch.

After I finished the card last night I had thought about paper piecing her dress, but this morning when I showed my husband the card,  he told me that I did a great job coloring the girl.. then I told him about the paper piecing and he said I should leave it as it is.. so I left it.

52 cards from 1 6x6 Paper Pad ~ I LOVE YOU SO MUCH & HELLO

I received an email from a good friend who is currently deployed,  asking if I would like to send some cards to her to put out for others to use to send home...  why yes I would!!!

Last night I made 13 cards and I had all the rest of that paper pad I had used.. and got busy making cards using all those scraps.    I made 39 cards today.. plus the ones from last night make a total of 52 cards from one paper pad.   There are two sheets left, but they are squares and I couldn't figure out a way to incorporate them.. so they'll headed to the recycle bin.

I used an "I Love You So Much" sentiment stamp from Papertrey Ink and the "Just Saying Hello" is from a Hero Arts set.   The paper pad was a Simple Stories Sn@p Color Vibe pad.   The card bases are all white card bases, as I have a bunch of them already cut.. and layered most everything in black, except the Hello cards.

These are the ones from yesterday..    LINK to blog post with measurements:

After making the card in the upper left corner last night in brown..  I sat down at my desk this afternoon and decided to make more cards in different colors.   I am going to figure out another layout to use to use up the rest of the pieces left in the paper pad.   Some colors I couldn't make cards with because I had used some of the paper on other projects.

Below is the paper pad I used.  It's from Simple Stories and is the Sn@p! Color Vibe pad. I bought it at Hobby Lobby ~ beside it is the MFT stamp set I used ~ Lovey Dovey Sentiments.

I used a sketch from SCS that I had commented on as soon as it was posted.. but a nasty cold brought my stamping to a standstill and I never got to make a card during that week.. so I thought I'd use it for my cards tonight.
