MFTWSC146 Property of Team Awesome ~ MVP card

Early this morning I read an email about a local scrapbook store that will soon be closing it's doors for good.  I was saddened to read this and went by there, not with the intention of buying anything, but to say "hi" and that I would "miss" coming to her shop.    I did look around and found some papers..  oh gosh, how I DO NOT need anymore papers.. but I really liked them and had an idea for using them..  hence the card I made tonight.

I am going to make some more.. they were super easy to do, and using the sketch below that is this week's MFTWSC146, made it even easier.

Supplies:

card stock:  Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Cream
pattern paper:  Trinity Paper Arts Making The Team line of papers
stamps:  MFT Jersey and Stamp Set
ink:  Stampin' UP! Basic Grey, Cherry Cobbler
accessories:   Quickutz Stars, MFT Jersey Die-namics, brads and 3L Adhesive Foam Squares

MFTWSC146 "Sweet" girl swinging card

Hi All..    I bought this branch and leaf die from MFT a while back.. and have been wanting to use it. As soon as I seen the sketch earlier today.. I knew exactly what I would do.  I had a lot of fun making this card, while I was attaching all the leaves, I was chatting on the phone with a good friend that we used to both be stationed here 16 years ago..  we had kids within two months of each other..  they are back here again and it's like we never were apart.

Here is this week's sketch for the MFTWSC146:

OWH Sketch Challenge #192 MY HERO HONORS.... card

I was in Hobby Lobby a few days ago and seen this stamp while walking down the aisle where the wood mounted stamps are..  I wasn't even looking for any stamps.. but it caught my eye and I just had to have it.  I knew I wanted to use it on this year's Veteran's Day cards that I will soon be making.   Today I wanted to make one for my husband.

This sketch below from the OWH Sketch Challenge #192 is what inspired the layout I used on my card.  My card is a 5" square card.

Supplies:

card stock:  Navy blue, cream, Cherry Cobbler, corrugated cream paper
pattern paper: Authentique Pride
ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black ink
stamps:  American Art Stamp AAS5009 (it says Verses on it, but I am not sure that that is the name of the stamp itself)
accessories: Quickutz stars die, Quickutz dotted embossing folder, Stampin' UP! brads, Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Squares

Operation Write Home ~ World Card Making Blog Hop "THANK YOU" cards

Hello Everybody..  Happy World Card Making Day!!!    Welcome to this stop on the Operation Write Home Bloghop.

Today I have some super quick and easy "Thank You" cards that can be made over and over again in a multitude of colors.

I got some new stamps this past week and wanted to get some ink on them.

I used OWH Sketch #78 for my card..  the sketch called for a larger layer under the three smaller pieces.. instead I chose to layer each of the three pieces.

These went together to quickly..   stamp the image three times, punch each one out with a square punch and punch out three colored squares to layer them onto. After cutting and scoring the card base.. I cut the colored layer and then the top white layer.  Stamped the sentiment then put it all together.  The three squares are on dimensionals..  my all time favorite product.. the ones by Stampin' UP! that is.

Card Supplies & Measurements:

card stock:    #100 white cover, Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, Crushed Curry and Gumball Green
ink:  Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, Crushed Curry and Gumball Green
stamp sets:    sentiment is from Annabelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers, Stampin' UP! Simply Sketched
Accessories:  1 1/4" square punch, 1 3/8" square punch, Dimensionals!!!!

Card base:  8 1/2" x 5 1/2"  scored at 4 1/4"
colored layer:   4" x 5 1/4"
white layer:  3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

OWH MWT ~ Holiday/Winter Themed Cards in Multiples

Happy October 2nd everybody~!!   I wanna take a second to shout to the mountaintop that this is the month that my husband returns from Deployment ~ YEAH!!!

I was asked a short time back if I would make some cards for an OWH Mid-Week Throwdown Challenge and that challenge was to make Holiday and/or Winter Themed cards that didn't say Merry Christmas on them.  The cards could then be used all through the winter months.   Of course I said  yes.. because I love helping out OWH any way I can and I absolutely love making multiples of cards.

I have three different cards that I have to show you  (the last one is the one that was featured on the OWH site) ~ I am including measurements for each card as well.    I hope that you give making multiples a whirl.

Winter Wishes:

card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
red layer:  4" x 5 1/4"
pattern paper:   3 7/8" x 5 1/8"  if you cover the whole piece.. or I cut it into two smaller strips since I was covering the middle with the middle strip and those pieces measure:  1 5/8" x 5 1/8"

middle strip:

red layer:  1 5/8" x 5 1/4"
pattern paper:  1 1/2" x 5 1/8"

sentiment stamped and punched out using Stampin' UP! middle oval punch and layered onto the scallop oval punch

Blessings To You:

card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
red layer:  4" x 5 1/4"
pattern paper:  3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

red layer:  3 1/8" x 4 3/8"
pattern paper: 3" x 4 1/4"

sentiment layers:
red:   1 1/8" x 4"
white: 1" x 3/ 7/8"

You're Always In My Heart:

card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

white layer:  4" x 5 1/4"
pattern paper:  3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

embossed panel:

light blue paper: 2" x 5"
dark blue:  1 7/8" x 4 7/8"

sentiment:

navy blue: 1 1/4" x 3 3/4"
light blue:  1 1/8" x 3 3/8"
white:        1" x 3 1/2"

for the circles, I used three different size punches and a Stampin' UP! Snowflake punch
