Senior Night ~ Football players cards

Last Friday was Senior Night at my kids High School.   My youngest daughter wanted to fill some treat bags for two of the players and asked me to make some cards for them.. these are what I came up with. I used my Cricut for everything on the cards.   I really like how the footballs turned out. The cartridge I used was the Sports one and I used Plantin Schoolbook for the numbers. Somewhere around here (still packed in a box) is my Locker Talk cartridge and I wish I had had it to do the numbers with. My daughter said that the players said "thank you" and that they really liked the cards and all the snacks/candy in the bags.

Christmas Blessings ~ Santa Claus card *Measurements*

I posted this card back in December 2011.  I have
been asked several times what the measurements are for the layers
on this card.. however I had gifted the card to a fellow stamper and didn't have it
anymore.. this past weekend I sat down and remade the card based off the picture of it
on my blog.. it took me two attempts.. the first one the red embossed layer wasn't long enough.

Below is my scribbled notes on the paper that I wrote as I worked on the card.

Measurements are:

Kraft card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half

strip with Christmas Blessings sentiment stamped on it and layers:
white: 2" x 4 1/4"
black: 2 1/8" x 4 1/4"
red...  this layer is punched with a scallop on the bottom.. after punching I measured it to be 2 3/8" x 4 1/4"

red embossed panel and layers are:

red embossed pieced: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
white: 2 3/8" x 3 7/8"
black: 2 1/2" x 4"

Santa layer:
Stamp is from Delta and is called Santa Collage. I found mine at Michael's but I have seen it at Hobby Lobby as well.
Santa:  2 1/8" x 3 1/8"  I cut then stamp
red: 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
black: 2 3/8" x 3 3/8"

I hope I got them all right.. as I wrote them down.

I put everything in an image that you should be able to print out.. I've never done this before, so I hope it works right.

SUPPLIES:
card stock: kraft, white, black, red
stamps:  Delta Rubber Stampede Santa Collage (Hobby Lobby carries this at the moment both online and in their stores), Christmas Blessings sentiment from a Hero Arts Greatest Gift stamp set
ink: Ranger Archival Sepia and Versafine Black
accessories:  Scor-Pal, SU Pick A Petal Embossing Folder, SU Scallop Border Punch, Hole Punch, White Brads and Foam Tape

StampersBest From a Grateful American .. cards for WWII Veterans

I had read a few days ago a post asking if you would like to make and send a card to be handed out to a WWII Veteran when they arrive in D.C. for an upcoming trip that is through  Space Coast Honor Flight.  I immediately contacted the lady to let her know I would love to make some cards to send in.  She quickly replied back and gave me a list of 24 names, another was added the next day.  I made all 25 of these cards yesterday morning and took them with me to a battalion steering committee meeting last night and asked the soldiers and spouses in attendance if they would like to write a personal note inside a card..  every card has a note in it and I know that the Veterans will enjoy what they read.

I used this awesome sentiment from a StampersBest stamp set called My Hero.  Be sure and use this code at checkout to save 10% on your order:    airbornewife

Here are the two baskets full of the 66 cards I made in the last 2 1/2 days.   The basket on the left has the 25 cards that are just like the one above.. the one on the right holds the 40 cards for the Volunteer's and the one in the envelope is for our FRSA who will be leaving soon.. ohhhhh how we will miss her.

supplies used on the card posted above:
card stock: Crumb Cake (Kraft), Navy Blue, Red, Corrugated  paper
accessories:  Stampin' UP! Stripes embossing folder, photo corner punch, star buttons, hemp cord, Stampin' UP! large star punch, large Nestabilities Star die, Cropadile, and Dimensionals!!!!

NOTE:   I used the cropadile to punch a large hole in the center of the punched out star, so that the star button would sit flush. With the hemp cord going through the back, it created a "hump" .. giving it somewhere to sit it would sit flush.

StampersBest Bald Eagle ~ Volunteer Appreciation Cards

I volunteered to make cards to give out to volunteers in our battalion that are being recognized at an upcoming luncheon.   I made 40 of these yesterday. I have made cards similar to this in the past and liked them so much that I knew right away what cards I wanted to make. I had to run some errands in the afternoon and my husband offered to do the brads.. I had done four cards and he did all the rest. When I got home I put them all together.   This StampersBest Bald Eagle Portrait stamp is probably my most favorite of all of their stamps that I have...  so majestic.   If you should order this stamp, be sure and use code:   airbornewife   at checkout to save 10% on your order.   This is also an OWH fundraiser stamp.  StampersBest makes a donation to OWH for each of these stamps sold.   You get a great stamp while helping support a great cause.

This was before I got started on the cards after stamping, cutting, punching out everything I needed.. note my most favorite thing in the center there to the right of the hole punch.. dimensionals!!!  I got an order yesterday and there were 10 glorious packs of these babies.. ahhhhhhhh.  My family doesn't seem to mind when there are little dimensional papers around the house.. they cling to my clothes and I carry them out of my stamp room and who knows where they land.. I see them all over when vacuuming.

this was the 20 when they were done.   This morning I printed out stuff to put on the inside of the cards.  I hope that they like them. I will miss the luncheon since my husband and I will be in KS for an Army school.

supplies:
card stock:  Neenah Eclipse Black #100, Yellow from the Paper Factory, White Embossed layers
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
accessories:  oval punch, label punch, hole punch ~ later used paper piercer using one of the cards that I had punched the holes in as a template, gold brads and Dimensionals!!!!

A bunch of cards I made this weekend.

Since Friday, I have made nearly 100 cards.. I made 40 today alone.  I think this is the most I have ever made in a weekend.

My husband and I are going out of town this upcoming weekend and before leaving, I am planning on making 24 cards for some Vets that are getting ready to go on a special trip.. and for a very special friend who is leaving our Battalion..  it's a sad card to make,, but I want to make sure she knows how much she means to me and others and just how much she'll be missed.

These are all the cards I made this weekend:

I made these 8 and then another 20 of them.

I made 11 of these "Miss You" cards

I made 14 of these.. the picture showing all of them.. each in a different color, didn't turn out too good.

Your Kindness Is Truly Appreciated

I made these 8 cards this afternoon........  then I decided to make a bunch more.

Here is what I had stamped, cut out and ready to assemble 12 more cards.
I got all of them made.. but didn't take a picture of the completed ones.
I think that I will make some more cards like this.. they were super easy.. the
only tedious part was die-cutting the flowers.. it was one at a time, so it took a little while, but other than that, they were really easy and look pretty neat.. even my husband said how nice they look.

supplies:
card stock: International Paper White #100 Cover, black, textured card stock asst. colors
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry and Ruby Red on the first eight.
stamps:  flowers is from a Hero Arts/Sizzix die set, Sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called Truly Appreciated
accessories: Bigkick, White Brads, Hole Punch and Dimensionals!!!
