~*MERRY CHRISTMAS*~

Merry Christmas to everybody.. It has been a wonderful day.

I am in TN at my parents house and our oldest son has came in from LA for the holidays. The only person not here was my wonderful husband Steve.. he is in Iraq right now. We did get a surprise and got to enjoy a video from him. I posted it on my Facebook page.

This has been a whirlwind week.. on Monday we drove up to Missouri over where we used to be stationed at, Fort Leonard Wood.. my brother and his family are stationed there now. Being there felt so good, being back in Missouri felt so good, getting to visit with family was great!

It was flurrying here in TN this morning.. nothing stuck to anything and as fast as it started, it ended.. thank goodness. I am making the long drive back home in a few days, so I really hope that the weather stays nice.

I hope that everybody had a wonderful day today.. that you got to hug your family and friends and tell them how much you love them. That is what is important in life.. family and friends.

Cyber hugs to all my friends.. I look forward to making more cards when I get home.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Hi Everybody.. on a little trip!

Hi Everybody.. just wanted to hop on here and say "hello" to everyone who might stop by.. I made some cards last week that I sent out to my hubby and forgot to take pictures of them.. I was making them late at night and then getting them in the mail before I went to bed, so I didn't forget in the morning to do so.. some were cards I had made a while back, but just added something to them before finishing them off.

We will be away for a while visiting with family and friends in TN and in MO.

I hope that everybody has a great day!!

Happy Stamping!

12/05 Holiday Wishes ~*Christmas Rose*~ card

I made this card earlier this morning. I love this stamp set: Christmas Cardinal.. it truly has to be one of my absolute favorite Stampin' UP! stamp sets.

I used some retired SU DSP paper on the card. The sentiment was stamped, the poinsettia was off stamped onto it, it was punched out, layered on a circle and then I took a scallop circle punch out and then glued a thin piece of paper to it and then put it back in the punch and repunched it off setting the scallops to create the pointed punched out piece.

I used some SU organza ribbon, tied it around the piece and into a bow. I then put a piece around the card to make it look kinda like a present.

12/04 Christmas Cardinal Embossed Christmas Card

I actually made this card last night.. but didn't get to load it.

I used the Stampin' UP! stamp set A Christmas Cardinal, inked in versamrk and then versafine black, heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored it in with some ink pads and an aquapainter.. not sure how much I really like the main image, but I still carried on to finish the card.

The card base layer has a scalloped edge I used a Stampin' UP! scallop border punch to create, the mistletoe was stamped in versamark and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I used some organza ribbon and the mini bowdabra to make the frilly bow for the card.

The saying was stamped, punched out and layered, layered, layered!

I used some retired SU DSP for the piece across the card.

.......... in dreams we catch glimpses .........

The bones of this card are from one I started for my husband the other night and I didn't like.. so tonight I see the stuff laying in the scrap box and decided to finish it up for a friend, who is serving in Iraq too.

The stamp set is a Tim Holtz set, I stamped the images and embossed with clear embossing powder.. I used nestabilities dies and the main images are on a Stampin' UP! Top Note Die-cut. The ribbon is Stampin' UP! organza.. I tied a bow and then used the Mini Bowdabra to make another bow to attach to it. I sponged all the edges and added some brads.. hope she likes it.

~*MONSTERS*~ card by my daughter

My daughter wanted to make a card for her friend... she said "mom, I want to make a card" I asked her what color she wanted it to be and she said Cameo Coral.. then she asked me what color went with it.. I said, I don't know! and she asked me for the color wheel ~ even her brother turned and said "you remembered that mom has a color wheel?" it was funny.

I get out the colors for her and after the monsters are stamped, she colors them in and then she started asking how she should do this and that.. I think her card ended up very nice.. she did a good job and asked me if I'd post it here for her and I said I would be proud to do so. She is 12.

It's like mad crazy stampingness going on here!!!!!

Stampingness... is that even a word! ha ha ~ tonight it is!

I made three cards last night after I stamped the same image three times.. and then cut all the same color cardstock, just made the cards look different ~ here they are:

then tonight, I made all these:

We are under a Tornado Watch right now.. earlier it was raining like crazy.. not sure what it's doing now. I have some doppler radar on so I can watch it.. not as good as the one at the news channel in Springfield, MO ~ back there you have to watch the weather closely with all the bad storms we had when we were at Fort Leonard Wood ~ even though at times the weather was a bit extreme, I cannot wait to get back there ~ and as soon as possible!

made a card for my hubby.... and mailed it without taking a picture!

I guess that's what I get for being up so late stamping.. I made a card to send to my hubby today using a retired Stampin' UP! set that has Pickups in it.. can't remember the exact name... I made it, wrote a note inside, then tucked it in an enevelope and sealed it up.. as I stamped a "sent with love" stamp on the back of the envelope, I realized I hadn't taken a picture.. It was a nice card.. in always artichoke and mellow moss.. using confetti cream for the neutral.. aaaaaahhhh.. I'll try not to do that again! I was tired, guess that's my excuse!

~ something I've been working on today... Monkey mini cards

I have all the monkeys colored in, just need to cut them all out.. I have these three done and three more to do.

The stamp set is one I got from Hobby Lobby last week, the bottom piece is torn and then rolled over with my finger.. I stamped it all over using a SU set that I can't remember the name but the stamp set is 4 mini background stamps and the one I used was the specks, I stamped it over and over again in versamark. The tree was handcut using some Chocolate Chip that I ran through the bigkick using a cuttlebug folder, the leaves were stamped and cut out, the saying is from a set I got at JoAnn's, it has a bunch of small sayings and this "hi" fit perfectly. The saying is layered on two pieces I cut out using nestabilities dies.

I used some dimensionals on these cuties too!

~*NOEL*~ Glittery Dasher Christmas Card

This card started out following Beate John's blog.. however my main image ended up being too bad, so I ended up making it a bit different.

The Dasher stamp is stamped in versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.. however when I ran it through the xyron to put the glitter on the back, I ended up liking the glitter on the front better.

I used the bigkick and some nestabilities dies on the main image to cut out the shapes.. The striped ribbon is Stampin' UP! and I tied it in a bow and finished it off with a green button with some DMC floss tied in a bow through it.

The "Noel" is from Stampin' UP! Many Merry Messages stamped in versafine black ink on white, punched out and layered on a green circle punch out, then onto a Designer label punchout in Tempting Turquoise and then layerd onto a red circle punch out.

The DSP is retired SU paper, I think it's Jersey Shore.. the card base/layer is Garden Green and Tempting Turqoise.

I used some Dimensionals on this baby as well! love em'!

~*REJOICE*~ cross mini card

I had some papers leftover from the card yesterday, just laying on my desk, so I thought I'd make something with them.. fitting them to a new Inkadinkado stamp set that I got last week. The Cross was stamped in Versamark and then embossed with a mixture that is gold and gold glitter embossing powders, then colored in with copic markers.

I stamped "Rejoice" on Stampin' UP! cardstock vellum and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I sponged all the edges of the cardstock and vellum and then just layered it together, I tied off some gold SU organza ribbon on the vellum piece.

It's so pretty in person.. so shiny.

~*OH NO!*~ monkey with bananas card

I got this monkey set earlier this week at Hobby Lobby.. I made this version and an add-on that goes under the "O" that is "O's" logo, it was made for a conservative stamping friend of mine.

I used all Stampin' Up! card stock, the letters were cut out using the Cricut Expression and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, I used some cuttlebug folders on the background and on the tree, the leaves were stamped and cut out, the bananas and monkey were stamped, colored and cut out. I used copic markers on the monkey and bananas.

Happy Thankgiving to everyone today ~ I hope that you are enjoying a day of thanks with family and friends.

Some things have happened in the last week that I haven't been stamping ~ but am hoping to get myself back on track here shortly.

Please say a prayer for God to watch over and protect my wonderful husband on this deployment.

So today as you think of things you are thankful for, please remember our deployed military and their families. May God Bless each of them in every way.

~*MERRY CHRISTMAS*~ Glittery Tree card

This card uses an Inkadinkado stamp set called Holiday Silhouettes ~ so pretty!

I stamped the tree and then used a two way glue pen to draw over the swirls and then added some Stampin' UP! glitter ~ another pretty!

I stamped the flourish snowflakes on the background which is River Rock card stock, the Merry Christmas in Red Riding Hood on white, sponged in around the edge with some Distress ink (same with tree piece).

The saying and tree are cut out using Nestabilities dies, I think they are Labels 3 or 4.. for the always artichoke layer under the saying, I just cut it down to size and glued it on the back of the saying piece.

The ribbon is some ribbon I got from Michael's last year. Stampin' UP! brads layered on a 1/4" punch out using a Stampin' UP! punch.

The River Rock piece is layered on a red piece and the card base is Always Artichoke.

I did use some dimensionals on the card on the saying piece.. love em'!

~*HAPPY SNOWMAN*~ NOEL Christmas Card

What a fun snowman stamp this is.. it's from an Inkadinkado stamp set called Filigree Snowman.

I stamped the snowman on a Stampin' Up! Top Note Die cut out.. layed it onto some retired SU DSP Wintergreen and then on some Always Artichoke and the card base is Certainly Celery.

The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch that I punched out in Certainly Celery, took a two way glue pen and covered it in glue and then dipped it into a container of some large flake snow stuff (can't remember the name of it) ~ attached it with glue dots then put a big SU rhinestone brad on it.

The "Noel" is from the same stamp set and I stamped it on white and punched it out using a Stampin' UP! oval punch and layered it onto an Always Artichoke scallop oval punch from Stampin' UP!

The wide grossgrain ribbon is Certainly Celery from Stampin' UP!

I did use Dimensionals on the card too.. my favorite thing in the Stampin' UP! catalog!
